Karen Maria Reis, a trans woman from Colatina, Espírito Santo, made a moving post on her Facebook paying homage to her stepfather, Seu Reinaldo, a 73-year-old man who, despite his little knowledge of gender and sexuality issues, , always respected her, showed affection, love and never questioned or was ashamed of her daughter, something that unfortunately happens a lot due to lack of information and other issues. In the publication, she also spoke about her grandmother Lourdes, who welcomed her with open arms and never questioned her granddaughter's gender transition.
