Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, have joined the team of “Next Fall”, a play about the ups and downs in the life of a gay couple.
According to The New York Times, this is the first time that Elton John has invested in a non-musical show (the duo participated in the production of “Billy Elliot”. As producer, it will be up to the singer to invest money and prestige in a play that does not count a famous actor or director.
“Next Fall”, which received good reviews on the “off-Broadway” circuit last year, follows the story of a couple of men and their 5-year relationship. The play is scheduled to premiere on March 11.
