In Kiev, LGBT rights activists made a clever intervention in one of the main Ukrainian monuments.

Last Sunday (21), to celebrate International LGBT Pride Month (June), the organizers of the local Parade found themselves without the opportunity to hold it because of the new coronavirus pandemic. However, they decided to act for the cause anyway.

Using drones, the activists placed a rainbow flag next to the sword on the right arm of the Motherland, giving the impression that the monument erected in the early 1980s, when Ukraine was still a Soviet country, raises a flag to the sky. of LGBT pride. In the other arm, the “mother” carries a shield.
