While some couples have no problem letting out flatulence in front of each other, others don't do it at all.
However, according to a study on the website MIC, farting in front of your loved one shows that you feel comfortable in their presence and that your relationship is successful.
The guys discovered that, while 29% of their interviewees wait between two and six months to release their first “gas”, 9,3% wait a year – in order to feel comfortable doing so.
Of this total, 25,2% said they waited between six months and a year, and 22,4% reported that they always leave the room so they can fart away from their partner. 7% said they had never farted in front of their loved one.
According to the website, many people are waiting for their partner's initiative to release their much-needed fart. Furthermore, 19% of them admitted that they would only fart after seeing someone else do it. One of the respondents in the study said that if you can't fart in someone's presence, it's because you can't be 'real' with them.
