“I’m not prepared for harassment”, says Thammy Gretchen about to debut in a global soap opera

There is great expectation that Thammy Miranda, lesbian daughter of singer Gretchen, will debut in the soap opera “Salva Jorge”, at 21pm on Globo, which will replace “Avenida Brasil”.

Author Glória Perez cast the girl to play Joyce, a police clerk, who dreams of being a detective and still works as a DJ in her spare time. For Thammy, the role was a great opportunity.

“She [Gloria Perez] called me to say that I had been approved and asked me if I would accept to play the role. It was an honor. I feel a responsibility not only for starting on a 21pm soap opera, but also for being Glória's bet. I have no right to disappoint her,” she declared in an interview with IG.

Regarding the pressure of debuting in prime time, Thammy reveals that she is not prepared for the harassment that the work brings.
“In my real life, I am very shy. I don't think I'm prepared for the harassment. But I’m preparing for it, it’s the bones of the job,” she declared.

Although the character appears to be homosexual, Thammy states that the issue of sexuality will not be discussed. “That point is not in question. It has a comedic tone, which I had never thought of doing, but I'm loving it. Joyce is nosy, gets involved where she isn't called and will get picked on by Giovanna Antonelli”, the actress who will play deputy Heloisa and will have Joyce as her right-hand man.

Anyone looking forward to seeing Gretchen's daughter on the small screen will have to wait a few more weeks. “Salve Jorge” premieres on Globo on October 22nd.
