“I don’t dream of kissing another man again,” says actor James Franco

North-American actor James Franco said in an interview with this month's edition of Australian magazine DNA that he finds the controversy surrounding the scene in which he kisses Sean Penn in the film "Milk" to be "nonsense".

"I knew you were going to ask that," he told the reporter. "But I'm not complaining. It's all nonsense. I kissed him. It seems like people want to invest in this story. Of course it was a little strange. I'd never done that before. The first time we shot the scene was in the Castro [San Francisco's gay neighborhood] and there were at least 200 people watching! It was a little strange and new, but hey, I'm an actor," Franco added.

Still talking about the more intimate scenes between him and Sean Penn, James Franco commented: "That was something absolutely new for me, but I'm used to doing things that I don't normally do in my life. If it was brave to play this role [Franco plays the Harvey Milk's boyfriend in the film] because people are intolerant and against gays? I don't know, but if I'm doing something to fight against it, then great. I would like to kiss another man in a film, I don't know. I don't dream about it. I just don't want people to argue so much. In the end, it ended up being something unimportant."

Off the big screen, James Franco stars in the new campaign for the perfume Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, which has just arrived in Brazil.
