“I’m not homophobic”, says Dourado after winning Big Brother Brasil

As expected, but hard to believe, Marcelo Dourado was the winner of Big Brother Brasil 10, taking the prize of R$1,5 million. Shortly after the final of the program, the fighter tried to clean up his image by stating that he is not homophobic.

"I'm not homophobic at all. I'm aware of these accusations now that I'm outside the house. I have never committed any violence against homosexuals or anyone else," said Dourado.

The new millionaire gained a reputation as homophobic even outside Brazil. The website of the American magazine Advocate published an article in which it reported the ex-BBB's attitudes inside the house, who even stated that only gays contract the AIDS virus, publishing the link to vote for the participant's elimination.

However, despite several campaigns for Dourado to be eliminated, a "Golden Mafia" mobilized out here and was largely responsible for the 60% of the votes that the participant received in the final.

According to Dimmy Kieer, the Golden Mafia even threatened her on Orkut. Regarding this, the fighter stated that he is not responsible for the attitudes of his fans on the internet. "I can't talk about what others do. I'm only responsible for my own nature."
