Former The Voice Leandro Buenno and model Rodrigo Westermann are scheduled to get married in November. But what was supposed to be a great joy is becoming difficult for one side.
Rodrigo is the great-nephew of pastor Silas Malafaia, who has declared himself against the gay community many times, especially regarding same-sex marriage.
“I am related to Silas Malafaia and I have a very evangelical family. I've never met him, he's not close. He's my great-uncle. I posted (about marriage) on social media where everyone follows me and they simply ignored it because they abhor the union of two people of the same sex. I didn't receive even half a message of support or happiness, not even a 'nice' or 'congratulations'. They ignored it as they do with everything that goes outside of what is right for them. They ignore or judge”, said Rodrigo.
