Summer Nights – Musical that mixes Shakespeare and Britney Spears promises to rock SP

Forget the obvious combinations of: cheese with guava, popcorn with guaraná and discover a genuine and unlikely combination: Shakespeare e Britney Spears.

+Silvetty Montilla joins the cast of the musical "Cartola – The World is a Mill"

That's right! The show "Summer nights" apresenta uma releitura gay contemporânea do clássico "Sonho de Uma Noite de Verão", de William Shakespeare, com músicas da Britney Spears.

The clash between Shakespeare's classic romanticism and the sexuality of Britney's songs present today sets the tone of the play, which deals with the sexuality of its protagonists in a very natural way.

O tema principal do musical é o amor, sem restrições de sexo, cor ou qualquer outro artifício. A ideia vem da vontade do diretor Julio Velloso de falar sobre a LGBT visibility in a relaxed, fun and unpretentious way.

The story begins when the couple Hermes and Lissandro decide to cross the country to Las Vegas in order to get married in secret. Only Heleno, Hermes' best friend, is notified and invited to sponsor the relationship.

However, in love with Demetrius, Hermes' ex-boyfriend, Heleno ends up telling him, who appears in the city to stop the wedding that is about to be held by Oberon, a seer, together with his assistant Puck, at the Magic Chapel. Upon seeing the situation, Oberon decides to help the couples, but a mistake caused by Puck turns everything into a big mess.

The show features hits such as: "…Baby One More Time", "(You Drive Me) Crazy", "Oops… I Did It Again", "Lucky", "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Toxic" , "Womanizer", "Till The World Ends" among many other hits! It will be difficult to remain seated during the show, after all, It's Britney bitch!
