The doctor and the tailor will appear together in the last chapter of the soap opera, after Lauro dumps his girlfriend Emma (Maria Zilda Bethlem), saying that “he is not a man like the others”.
Without making a fuss, the girl accepts and adds: “I understand very well, Lauro. It’s a love that doesn’t dare say its name.”
Afterwards, he invites Tobias to dinner and the two end up together and happy. From the beginning of the plot, the characters' scenes already imply that they are homosexuals.
This is very unusual in period soap operas with six o'clock plots, but it is worth remembering that Walcyr Carrasco – author of Êta Mundo Bom – always makes room for this theme in his productions.
