“I never had the desire to be a woman”, says Luis Salém on Marília Gabriela’s program

Actor Luis Salém is the guest on the program “Marília Gabriela Entrevista” next Sunday (24) on the GNT channel.

Luis spoke about his professional career and recalled his last work on television, playing the transvestite Ana Girafa in the soap opera “Aquele Beijo”.

"I really enjoyed the exercise, even though I never wanted to be a woman," she said. Famous for comedic roles, the actor said he always had good humor on his side.

"I've always been the funny one. I have a way of looking at the world that is closely linked to comedy. I want to move people through laughter", says Salém.

At 49 years old, the actor says he does not intend to take more dramatic paths. "[Drama] is not my thing in life and it's not where I want to express myself. But I think it's amazing who does it," he says.

Salem also reveals that he tries to take criticism in stride. "Criticism is part of the game. Sometimes you destroy it and sometimes it destroys you. It's easier to understand when it's favorable."

The program airs at 22pm.
