“Where Love is Illegal” – Photographer captures homosexual couples in countries where being gay is a crime

New Zealand photographer and activist Robin Hammond, saw a new professional interest awaken within him: issues related to homosexuality.

During the trip, the photographer climbs five gay men from the north of the country were arrested and whipped in a court.

The fact aroused the interest of Robin, who managed to get an interview with those on trial, who gave moving testimonies and gave rise to a beautiful series entitled Where Love Is Illegal ("Where Love Is Illegal", in Portuguese), which tells the story of people who live in countries where being gay is a crime and can even result in death.
