An NGO called Triângulo Trans Mais created a virtual fundraiser to raise money and help trans people change their first name on their civil documents.
“You need at least R$500 per person to start the process. It was with this in mind that we decided to crowdfund online, as there was a huge demand from trans people who were unable to do so”, explained the president of the NGO, Carol Rocha Queiroz to the G1 website.
