Rio Preto NGO launches psychological program aimed exclusively at the GLBT community

Gada – AIDS Support Group –, an NGO that operates in Rio Preto, launched the “Psychological Plantão” program last week, aimed at the GLBT community in the region. Organized by psychologist Marcos Aurélio Francheti, the program psychologically helps GLBTs who are unable to afford private treatment and need assistance to face problems, mostly emotional issues or family conflicts. “If this feeling of anguish is not relieved, it can trigger a more serious psychological disorder. The sooner the treatment, the better”, says the Gada psychologist to the newspaper “Bom dia”. According to the psychologist, there are, on average, six consultations per week. The service is free, on Mondays and Fridays, and must be booked at Gada headquarters.
