The steps of SP's Gay night

I was talking to a friend these days and we discovered a kind of gay nightlife formation here in São Paulo.

It's a thesis that many gay men start out in by going out to clubs like Tunnel and Blue Space. After some time, they end up discovering another club that is the middle ground of styles in the city, Bubu. There they have a more modern view of the night and can choose the new stage, usually The Week. But also with the option of going to the more underground side like A Lôca. If you choose A Lôca, there are other steps to visit Gloria, Vegas or D-edge. Going to The Week, which is the most common, ends up only going out on Saturdays and with no other option, only when there are parties in other cities, at branches of TW itself.

It may seem nonsensical and obviously it is not possible to generalize, but it certainly happens to many people. Of course there are people who have Tunnel, Bubu or Blue as their home sweet home and don't do this climb. But I'm talking about boys aged 18 or 19 who experience nightlife without many friends and who end up going with the flow.

The first nightclub I went to over ten years ago was Tunnel. But I never planted a flag there, only during short periods. But both me and this friend from my thesis really liked Tunnel and Bubu.

Bubu, unfortunately, and I hope for a short time, is closed, it is my favorite place for a night out. I explain, it's because the place isn't that big, with drag shows, but it also doesn't have a very heavy and down atmosphere, it's not 8 or 80, perfect for me as I'm a person who tries to be moderate. I hope you come back soon!
