Listen to 'Smiling', new song by Alanis Morissette

After publish the cover of your new album, Such Pretty Forks in the RoadAlanis Morissette released this Friday (21) the second single from the work, “Smiling”.

Although the translation of the song's title into Portuguese is “smiling”, it is melancholic and shows the singer following her traditional autobiographical style in the composition, saying that she has moments of sadness and doubts, but continues to move forward.

Such Pretty Forks in the Road, the Canadian singer's 9th studio album, hits stores on May 1st.

At 45, Morissette will go on tour to celebrate 25 years of Jagged little pill, an album that marked pop in the 1990s and was immensely successful. She will hit the road with the band Garbage and singer Liz Phair, who will open the shows.

Jagged little pill it was adapted into an acclaimed musical running on Broadway since 2019. In August of the same year, Morissette had her third child.

The first single from Such Pretty Forks é “Reasons I Drink”, launched in 2019.
