According to Staver, the meeting between the pontiff, Kim Davis and her husband at the Vatican embassy in Washington on Thursday (24), during the visit to the USA. Francisco reportedly told Kim to "be strong."
Despite the statements, the Vatican's chief spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, preferred neither to confirm nor deny the meeting and said that there were no further comments to make. The resistance to admitting a meeting is unusual, since the church usually issues some position.
