The 18th Brasília LGBTS Pride Parade, held on Sunday (28), opened with a collective wedding of ten homosexual couples.

For the first time, a rainbow march in the country was preceded by this type of event.
The location of the ceremony, which began around 15pm, had a strong political nature: in front of the National Congress. The idea of the Brasília LGBTS Pride Parade Association was to counter conservative speeches coming from federal deputies.

After the ceremony, the march began, which traveled along the Esplanada dos Ministérios and the Eixo Monumental to the Palácio do Buriti, headquarters of the governorship. According to the organization, there were boos and speeches against governor Rodrigo Rollemberg (PSB) for the lack of action against homophobia.
The organization estimated the audience at 60 thousand people.
