Slovenian Parliament calls referendum to discuss gay rights

A referendum was called this Friday (10) by the Slovenian Parliament to discuss the rights of homosexuals.

The referendum will be held on March 3 with the aim of reformulating the “Family Law”, which was initially created to equate homosexual couples with heterosexual couples, but which was later modified under pressure from the Catholic Church and conservative organizations.

The referendum request was presented on February 3 by the Civil Initiative for the Family and Children's Rights. The current version of the Law does not allow gay couples to adopt children and a series of rights are denied to the LGBT community.

With new techniques, the “Boa Noite Cinderella” scam still claims many victims at gay parties
