Gay pastor publishes book about homosexuality and family

A member of the United Church of Christ, the only Protestant congregation in favor of same-sex marriage, gay Presbyterian pastor Brett Web-Mitchell has just released the book “On Being a Gay Parent” – How to be a Gay Parent – which deals with homosexuality and family.

Father of two children (from his first marriage), Web-Mitchell came out twelve years ago and says that gay parents have to face the same daily problems as heterosexual parents, with the aggravating factor that their children are treated as different because they have fathers gays.

"I wrote this book because until today there was no one who was pro-gay, pro-children, pro-family and pro-Christianity. Books that deal with gay parents and Christianity are very unchristian," he said in an interview.

The book "Being a Gay Dad" should help gay parents deal with their own homosexuality in front of their children.
