Pastor Sargento Isidório, candidate for mayor of Salvador, talks about gays

The candidate for mayor of Salvador, Pastor Sargento Isidório, spoke in an interview with UOL what he thinks about homosexual relationships. “If I happen to be mayor, I will find a lot of intellectual people working at City Hall, gays, lesbians, and what’s the problem? I’m not going to mix things up”, he commented.

“What I don’t want to do is advocate for everyone to be gay or lesbian. Whatever it is. If you want to be gay, be it; If you want to be straight, be it. I just want everyone to respect each other and not encourage violence”, he concluded.
