The Brazilian version of the famous North American reality show RuPaul's Drag Race is expected to come to fruition soon, now that Netflix has shown interest in producing the drag queen competition. Rumors about a Latin version of the reality show emerged in 2017, after Endemol Shine acquired rights to the format in Brazil. Now, the mission is to find a presenter as talented and charismatic as RuPaul, creator of the format and one of the pioneers of drag culture in the world. Comedian Paulo Gustavo even offered himself, but, as he didn't have the profile, he was turned down. The one in the spotlight is drag queen Pabllo Vittar, considered the most famous drag queen in the world today. The challenge, however, is being able to reconcile the artist's concert schedule with the recordings of the program, which still has no premiere date.
