Pedro Scooby opens up about his alleged relationship with a gay journalist

Pedro Scooby, surfer and Anitta's ex, spoke in an interview with the newspaper O Dia, about the supposed relationship he had with a gay journalist, who told about everything on social media.

“Nothing existed, so there’s nothing to comment on. I don't know yet if I'm going to sue him. I'm a guy who takes life very well. I think it's very easy, nowadays with the technology we have, to take and create an assembly with others. But I don't have to justify myself to anyone. Everyone believes what they want. I don't think this subject should be talked about, because it's something that didn't exist in my life. It happened there and I didn't take it for granted because it was a lie", "I'm a guy who has a very open mind. My house, when I was married, was frequented more by gays than by straights, and beautiful and wonderful gays, friends that I always loved, that I hugged. So, all my friends know that I'm open-minded, I'm not afraid of being gay. I'm just not attracted. I'm a guy who raises the cause, I defend my friends. If I see a homophobic attitude, I am the first to defend it”, he began.

“There would be no problem with that. If I were gay I would be the first to say “I'm wonderful gay and everything is fine. Guys, I really like men and it’s wonderful”, I would be the first to say that. I'm a womanizer, I've always changed one girlfriend to another. Beauty is not a thing in principle for me. I'm a guy who plays with gays, I like to hug, I have no problem changing my clothes, on the contrary. I have always been praised by my friends for the way I treat them,” he said.

Scooby talks about the benefits of coming out

“I think I would make a lot of money if I came out as the first gay surfer. I was going to do a lot of campaigning, be on the cover of all the magazines, but that's not my case. Everyone came to call me, ask me about it. I laughed in stories about the situation, jokingly. As much as we live in this world of gossip, all the serious journalists called me and said “Scooby, something like this is happening, but I saw it was a lie and decided not to publish it”. "What do you think?". I didn't want to comment because there was no such case in my life. Serious journalists themselves raised my flag and defended me. Sometimes people want — and this is something that bothers me about human beings — to see the bad in others. People like this think: “I know it's a lie, but I'm going to make fun of it, I'm going to replicate it because I want to see that guy over there... In Brazil, part of them is bothered by the happiness of others. This is clear”, he concluded.
