A gay kiss between the characters Cido (Rafael Zulu) and Samuel (Eriberto Leão) aired in last Tuesday's episode, the 8th, of O Outro Lado do Paraíso. In the plot written by Walcyr Carrasco, the couple starred in several comings and goings and caused controversy with a troubled relationship, marked by the doctor's non-acceptance of his own homosexuality. After raising the theme of a supposed “gay cure” for the psychiatrist, the author decided that the characters will have a happy ending together, with the blessings of Samuel’s mother, who spoke saying that being gay “is not an illness”.
