Perseu Abramo launches book about homophobia during the LGBT Fair in Anhangabaú

The publisher Fundação Perseu Abramo will officially launch the book "Sexual Diversity and Homophobia in Brazil", the result of research into homophobic violence in Brazil, during the LGBT Cultural Fair, in Vale do Anhangabaú, this Thursday (23).

In partnership with the NGOs Diversitas, Visbilidade LGBT and Corsa, all from São Paulo, the publisher Perseu Abramo will hold a lounge from 16pm, on Avenida São João, 126, 1st floor. At the event, in addition to the launch of the book, there will also be an exhibition with photos from various editions of the São Paulo Gay Parade, artistic and political interventions.

In addition to research on homophobia in Brazil, the book, organized by Gustavo Venturi, features unpublished texts by Vange Leonel, Julian Rodrigues, Keila Simpson, Lula Ramires, Sérgio Carrara, among others. The articles focus on data on homophobic violence, the national situation, facts and achievements in the field of LGBT rights.
