Gay character from “Sangue Bom” returns to the plot and may begin romance; know more

After one removal that generated considerable controversy, the character of Josafá Filho returns to the plot "Sangue Bom", by Maria Adelaide Amaral and Vincent Villari. Filipinho, who traveled to New York to work in musicals after revealing to his mother that he was gay, is now back on the scene.

According to the actor, the character is much more mature and could start a romance with Xande, played by actor Felipe Lima. “If they stay together, it will be very cool and surprising,” he comments.

Regarding Filipinho's absence, Josafá believes in an idea of the character's exile. "Filipinho's journey spoke about sexual orientation based on the idea of exile, which is how many homosexuals feel in their own society. The soap opera discusses human evil, because sustaining love is much more difficult, it is a journey for life whole", he declared in an interview with Extra.

As for gay kissing on TV, the actor claims that love between two people of the same sex is, in fact, the great taboo. "I believe that it still needs to be approached in a delicate way so that it is an invitation to reflection, and not an imposition. When we talk about affection, it is a vast terrain, and I believe that love, deep down, is taboo", he concluded.
