PM admits boyfriend, is victim of homophobia and case ends up in court

After publicly dating Mauro Ximenes, Brasília Military Police Officer Wallace Ferreira Pereira was the target of homophobia on social media and the case ended up in court.

According to information on the Revista Fórum website, the couple decided to take appropriate legal action against the author of the offensive message shared on some digital platforms.

It all happened when Vander Marquezini expressed discomfort with the fact that the agent had entered into a same-sex relationship and decided to criticize the stance of the new police officers who, according to him, want to have “a prettier ass” than “the women”.

“In the past, there were only big-bellied PMs who ate PF [a dish made] of rice with beans and cracklings in those dirty taverns. Then the PM started demanding college and some guys started arriving who don't eat fatty meat because it's bad for them, they only drink Detox juice and think they have prettier butts than women. That's all it could be,” he wrote in a Facebook group.

The comment resonated and came to the attention of Wallace and Mauro, who spoke out in videos published on Instagram.

“Nothing will go in vain. This won't harm my life, my routine. But what happened to me could happen to anyone else. This cannot go unpunished. The result will be very bad for whoever started this and for whoever is sharing it. Thank you to everyone who helped warn me”, says the soldier in the images.

Also according to Fórum, Wallace Ferreira belongs to the 9th Military Police Battalion of Espírito Santo and is assigned to the National Security Force, in the federal capital.
