Teresina police investigate possible Nazi group

Last Wednesday (26), a complaint was registered at the Specialized Police Station for the Repression of Discriminatory Conduct of Teresina (PI) to investigate a note calling for membership in a group that identifies itself as the "Homophobic Brotherhood". The letter features a swastika, a telephone number and the words "death to homosexuals".

The incident was carried out by activists from the Matizes group, who found the note in the car window of the owner of a beauty salon in the Primavera neighborhood. "The salon employs several homosexuals. One of our activists works there as a receptionist, which is why the note reached us", explained Marinalva Santana, one of those responsible for Matizes.

Delegate Sebastião Escórcio, who heads the investigations, told Matizes that he will file a request for breach of confidentiality to try to identify the owner of the cell phone left in the note. If the existence of the group is proven, those responsible will be charged with incitement to crime and support for Nazism. Our editorial team tried to contact the number in the letter, but no one answered.
