According to the State Secretariat of Public Security (SSP-SP), no suspects have been arrested or identified, but investigations continue. The first sketch was released last week.

The attack occurred when the gay couple was on a train at Armenia station and were approached by 15 men. They demanded that the two get off at Tiradentes station, but they refused. Soon after, they were attacked.

"One of them hung on the safety bar and kicked me in the nose. It broke my nose and I'm going to have to have surgery to put it in its place," Raphael Martins told G1.
