Police raid gay wedding in Middle East

According to the Emirates 24/7 news portal, twenty gay men were arrested in the United Arab Emirates. The men were attending an alleged gay wedding on a hilltop in southern Jazan province.

A large Saudi police force invaded the ceremony and arrested, in addition to the gays, another 200 participants. According to the police, some of those arrested were wanted people, who were staying illegally in the country.

Homosexuality is criminalized in the United Arab Emirates. The arrest only reinforces the various absurdities that have occurred with gays in the Middle East.
