The Pinheiros city council will close the Bubu Lounge nightclub today, starting at 16:30 pm. One of the biggest and main GLS nightclubs in the city. The press office of the sub-prefecture claims that the reason is the lack of a license for the establishment.
According to the city council, the nightclub had already received two fines. Today's, with the closure, would be the third. In the morning, two bars in Vila Madalena were also closed for the same reason.
The club's press office says that they were "caught by surprise" and found out about the news from the press itself after a statement published in Folha Online. As they were in a hurry, they said they would not be able to respond to the website's editorial staff The Cape.
The city council was unable to inform the amounts of the fines the club received. The spokesperson said that after they return from the action, they will make a release with details of the day's activities and forward it to the press.
