Award-winning lesbian film “Lúcia’s Journey” is showing in cinemas

The film “Lúcia's journey” premieres today, Friday (2), which tells the story of Lea (Francesca Inaudi), a young worker at a food factory who waits for something that will break her out of her routine.

At the same time, there is the story of Lúcia (Sandra Ceccarelli), a middle-aged woman, a flight attendant who wants to have a child with her husband.

Lucia suffers from rare fainting spells and is seen as a tense person by her psychiatrist, who suggests that she make the most of her life. It is in the meantime that Lúcia decides to give piano lessons and ends up meeting Lea, who has a life completely opposite to hers.

Soon, both develop a strong relationship of affection and, in the midst of this discovery, Lea gets a job in Patagonia and Lúcia realizes that she has to move to survive and not lose the person who brought meaning to her life.

The film is directed by Stefano Pasetto in a co-production between Italy and Argentina and is the new project from Festival Filmes, which has already brought the productions “Shelter”, “Pecado da Carne” and “Contracurrent”.

The film has already been shown at the London Film Festival, had its world premiere at the Toronto festival and was awarded at the Festival du Film Italien de Villerput as best film chosen by the jury and also at the Festival Universcine de Nantes.
