Preta Gil and Glória Groove launch series about trans women

Preta Gil, Glória Groove and Glamor Garcia will have a series with four mini documentaries bringing together transgender women. The idea came about after the success of the song “Só Amor”. The information is from the UOL website.

“Only Love is for me a manifesto that inspires respect for others, that deals with acceptance of one’s own identity and the right that we all have to live in peace in society, being who we each want to be.” “Since I was invited to collaborate with this song I felt that there was a stronger message, we live in a sad statistic of violence, but if we look at love and not just pain, we can help to make these numbers fall, so that transsexuals have decent jobs and that we can respect each other more and more by understanding that we all have the same right to be happy”, declared Preta Gil.

“Every day I receive messages from young LGBTQIA+ people thanking them and saying how much of a difference the work I have been doing makes a difference in their lives, as well as the new scenario of diversity in music. This is an extremely important issue, taking into account such intolerance and transphobia in our country. Works like this reflect and reinforce the need to represent the most diverse narratives, so that these speeches reach the general public through our art, which is music”, said Gloria Groove.
