Always involved and a participant when it comes to issues relating to the LGBT community, singer Preta Gil will be named the first “Diva Godmother” of the São Gay Parade and the “Gay Day Experience”, a charity event that takes place today, the 30th.
On your page Twitter, Preta said she received the invitation two months ago. “With the greatest pride, this invitation was made to me 2 months ago!!!! Now he’s worth even more!!,” she wrote.
According to the newspaper column “O Dia”, the singer was also named representative of the International Year of People of African Descent, established by the UN in 2011.
Recently, Preta Gil was involved in a controversy with congressman Jair Bolsonaro (PP–RJ), a declared homophobe, who in an interview with "CQC" stated that his son would not get involved with a black woman.
