First openly gay man wins a place at CLDF

Even though the presidency is not yet defined, the LGBT community managed to win several important positions in politics last weekend. And for the first time, the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District will have an openly gay deputy, Fábio Felix.

Fabio is the regional president of PSOL and defends a school where students learn more about tolerance and respect for diversity, but without calling it gender ideology.

“It is a very important victory for us. I am the first district deputy elected by PSol and the first openly LGBTI deputy of the Legislative Chamber. I'm very excited to work. Our action will be for equality and against fundamentalism, in a city that respects differences”, declared the elected parliamentarian.
