Prosecutor could lose his position after refusing to protect same-sex couples

An American prosecutor named Craig Northcott, who works in the state of Tennessee, could lose his position after refusing to protect same-sex couples in cases of domestic violence.

Craig was filmed speaking at a Biblical Theological Seminary at the beginning of the year, and this strengthened the accusation. In the video he states that he would not serve gay couples because he is a good Christian. He also stated that he disagreed with equal marriage, and therefore would not apply a protection measure.

After that, some entities linked to domestic violence and the LGBT community came together to sue the prosecutor, demanding that the prosecutor also learn to separate his personal convictions and his professional decisions.
