Provocative! Homosexuality is a gift from God, says new book by Gui Barreto

On the 17th, at 15pm, next Saturday, it will take place at Museum of Sexual Diversity, at Metrô Republica, the launch of the new book by the writer and journalist Gui Barreto.

+SP Sexual Diversity Museum pays homage to the life and work of Caio Fernando Abreu

The work is called "The love that no one saw" and aims to shake conservatism and religious extremism, through a story based on real events.

It is a homoaffective novel that is not at all cliché, different from anything, or almost everything, that has ever been seen in literature, especially when the homoaffective theme is intended to embrace it, but which, in most cases, goes along with the vision of many publishers. who "call themselves LGBTS", just to become another product.

The plot tells the lives of two evangelical boys who fall in love in church. However, like many, they live hostage to what "the churches" and the "misinterpretation of the Bible" disseminate, thus making many homosexuals perceive themselves as an abomination in the eyes of God. However, even feeling lost, in the debate of religion and sexuality, the characters risk living their feelings, which over time proves to be the best choice, because God is love, and love has no gender. It is even possible to think that Christ came for the excluded; and, furthermore, that homosexuality is a gift from God, since the individual did not choose their sexuality.

Gui Barreto, already known by his readers as controversial and sensitive to social issues, in this new book also proposes a reflection on biblical verses that preach the demonization of LGBTS, always using literary language and full of drama. After all, this is the writer's mark, and a gay romance is not just a work for gays, but for everyone who is human and believes that God and people should be more concerned about other things than whether someone sleeps with someone. man or woman.
