The next film 007 – No Time to Die, will feature a black and lesbian protagonist. The actress chosen for the role was Lashana Lynch, who told a little about the news in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.
“I'm a black woman – if it had been another black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same repercussion. She would have the same attacks, the same abuse. I just need to remember that this debate is finally happening and that I am part of something that will be very, very revolutionary.”, said Lashana.
“I feel very happy to be able to face these narratives. We are moving away from that world of toxic masculinity and this happens because women have become more open about these issues and are demanding, talking about, drawing attention to wrong behaviors.”
