PSDB wants the “macho kit” candidate to have a homophobic tone and OAB calls for punishment

The PSDB of the Federal District advised the candidate for federal deputy Matheus Sathler to moderate the homophobic tone of his speech, otherwise he will be punished for his "radical, inappropriate, politically incorrect and nothing positive" stance.

Last week, the candidate defended during election propaganda the use of the "male kit" and "female kit" so that children learn to be "man" and "woman" in their stereotype.

Given the reaction of voters, the regional president of the party, Eduardo Jorge Caldas Pereira, guaranteed that the candidate's position contradicts the party's ideals.

"He has the right to think as he wants, but he does not have the right to involve the party. When he ran for office, he signed a document committing to respect the party program," he stated.

The president also said that the content of the election schedule will be changed and that if the candidate continues to express prejudiced speech, he will suffer punishment. "He will not continue to defend this type of stance without our party coverage," he guaranteed.

The Sexual Diversity Commission of the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) filed two representations against the candidate on Monday (25). The President of the Commission, Maria Berenice Dias, stated that the statements are incompatible with the role for which he is trying to be elected.

Until then, Matheus had declared that he was against the presence of women and homosexuals in the Armed Forces and the police, in addition to preaching anti-feminism, so that women can be more feminine.
