Psychologist Pedrosa: I'm 60 years old and I'm in love with a much younger boy, what do I do?

I'm a widower and I got involved with a pizza delivery guy who was much younger than me. I'm always in the passive position. I hadn't discovered this side of me yet. I'm meeting a woman too. I confess that sex with a boy gives me more pleasure. I think now I know what sexual pleasure is. Now I'm unsure whether to take this relationship forward. Should I keep going out with this guy? Dourado (Praia Grande – SP)

Golden, for the older generation, practicing homosexual sex was something very painful. Many had a desire for another man, but did not express it. They married a woman because of the homophobic pressure in our culture.

Today this reality still exists, but less frequently. The story “ah, I discovered my gay desire late in life. How I wasted time” we have heard several times. In fact, gay desire already existed, from an early age, but it was “dormant” in the sense that it was not practiced. That's probably what happened to you.

From your story, I understand that you like to have sexual relations with the boy. Should you continue? Even though the decision is yours, I think you should continue. Perhaps you have found your true sexual calling: liking men. Enjoy what nature has given you and still provides at the age of 60: having sexual pleasure. Good luck!
