Pure seduction! Gay couples compete in Tango World Cup in Argentina; see photos!

Considered the most engaging dance of all rhythms, Tango conquers not only its elegance but also the skill in the legs of its dancers, often made up of pairs between men and women.

It was with a view to breaking this sexist pattern that the World Tango Championship, in Buenos Aires, started to admit same-sex couples. As is the case with dancers Juan Pabro Ramírez, 34, and his partner, Daniel Arroyo, 18.

"It takes two to tango, but they don't necessarily have to be of different sexes. Our goal is for people to just see us and realize: 'how good it is to dance!'" said Ramírez.

Another gay couple to participate were Argentineans Claudio Siufe and Esteban Mion. The pair were not intimidated and shined on the track, complete with high heels worn by Mion.

In two weeks of competition, couples compete for a cash prize and a trip to Paris, where they take part in another great performance.
