The radio host Felipe Ronchi, 29, posted a video on Instagram in which he appears injured being treated in a hospital. The boy said in the post that he was attacked during Carnival in São Paulo, and that the motivation for the attack was homophobic.

Ronchi reports that, during the Sai Hétero block, last Monday (24) on R. Augusta (center of the capital), he was beaten with sticks when he asked to use the bathroom of a bar.

“I just got hit twice in the head inside an establishment, a bar where I, my sister and some friends were,” he said.

“We asked to use the bathroom, the owner didn’t let me and I received a slap in the face, two blows from a giant sledgehammer, I don’t know, a stick.”

The radio presenter also stated that the same man attacked his sister on the arm – and that all they did was ask to use the establishment's bathroom.

According to the victim, the place where he was attacked is at R. Martins Fontes, 390. “Don't go to that place!” asked Ronchi in the caption of the video.
