Rami Malek, winner of the 2019 Oscar for 'Best Actor', ended up wearing a tight skirt, after saying in his speech that Freddie Mercury was a “gay man”.
“We made a film about a gay man, an immigrant, who lived his life being unapologetically himself, and the fact that I'm celebrating him and his story with you tonight is proof that we're longing for stories like this,” Rami said.
Many Freddie Mercury fans were angry on social media. They stated that Mercury was bisexual and that the actor should respect his history and sexual orientation.
