According to LGBT Hero, a United Kingdom organization, grew by 44%, compared to the first three months of the year, the number of people who accessed internet pages to support those with suicidal thoughts – 11 thousand people searched for them. The information is from with the BBC.

Other charities have reported that users of their services have committed suicide. A LGBT Foundation, in turn, revealed in a survey that 37% of respondents reported having mental health as one of their three main concerns during the lockdown period caused by the pandemic.

Furthermore, interviewees said they had resumed habits of self-harm, depression and suicidal thoughts.

In an interview with PinkNews, representatives from Northern Ireland's Rainbow Project said the government is doing nothing about it.

“In the last three weeks alone, we have met three who have taken their own lives,” said Gavin Boyd.

Another representative, in turn, spoke anonymously to the website: “The government did absolutely nothing to help local LGBT entities to cope with the high demand from users of our services, who were already facing difficulties.”
