Religious say gay relationships cause premature death

Close to the approval of gay marriage in Scotland, the country's Roman Catholic Church continues to launch heavy attacks against the LGBT community. According to church spokespeople, the instability of gay relationships causes premature death.

"There is an enormous body of evidence that demonstrates that homosexual relationships are intrinsically unstable and can reduce the life expectancy of the people involved," Bishop Peter Kearney told the website 'PinkNews'.

The statements are part of the church's resistance to adoption by homosexual couples. In October, one of the bishops had already attacked this right.
