Revista A Capa #20 features an interview with rapper MV Bill; read in full

Issue no. 20 of the magazine The Cape, from February 2009, features an exclusive interview with rapper MV Bill, where he talks about why he decided to join the fight against homophobia.

Regarding PLC 122, which criminalizes homophobia, the rapper comments that "it's a way of punishing those who are practicing prejudice." "This practice can disguise something much bigger and not only prejudice due to sexual orientation, but it can also have racism involved, and social racism, depending on where the person lives. Making it a crime should not serve to educate. But how education is not strong in our country, so maybe criminalizing it can make people at least respect it would be a big step", says MV Bill in the interview.

This edition also brings a complete guide to playing at Carnival; a profile on the legendary Madame Satan; and the debut of the "GLS Column", written by journalist Sérgio Ripardo. Check out a photo shoot with model Rodrigo Mineiro, with photos by Paulo Cabral and styling by Walério Araújo.
