Revista A Capa #21 shows the different types of manifestations of gay culture in the world

Issue #21 of the magazine The Cape (April/2009) traveled to some corners of the world to show the various types of manifestations of gay culture. In the United States, journalist Victor Barroco talks about a world gay capital that was born in the Stonewall uprising, New York City.

In Argentina, its traditional dance – the tango – started to have new fans: gay couples. Speaking of music, Erik Galdino comments on the exchange of DJs between Brazil and Mexico.

The extinct “Hermes e Renato”, which completed 10 years on MTV in 2009, was also a topic in the edition. Marcelo Hailer interviewed Fausto Fanti, creator of the program, who spoke about the classic character Bichinha de Souza.

Who also spoke to The Cape #21 was vocalist Elisa Gargiulo, leader of the country's main feminist band, Dominatrix. To journalist William Magalhães, Elisa comments on the different ways of confronting prejudice and machismo. Picking up the guitar and organizing alternative festivals is one of them!
