For many people, Sunday is a day to rest, see family, go to the cinema with your boyfriend. But for a group of people, this past Sunday was the day to leave the house and to protest, to show that we have memory and that we do not give up fighting for justice and for our rights.

The protest was called "The Revolt of the Lamp", in reference to the object used as a weapon by the attackers.

It is worth remembering that among the attackers there is still one fugitive: Homophobe wanted: Court sentences 9 years to XNUMX years accused of attacking young man with light bulb in SP.

In the event description, in the Facebook, the organizers state that "the fluorescent lamp has become a symbol of oppression not only of LGBTs, but of all bodies perceived as inadequate by the hegemonic model."

Some participants carried foam buoys, representing fluorescent lamps. Others carried banners and posters against prejudice against homosexuals. According to Military police, the act was concentrated on the sidewalk. The location is the same as where the attack took place four years ago.
