An open homosexual since 2010, when he made his sexual orientation public, Martin is the father of two twin sons, now 09 years old, born through a surrogate mother. The Puerto Rican explained, in an interview with "Out" magazine, how he responds to his children's questions about their father having two fathers.
"A lot of people say, 'Well, your kids do magazine covers and blah, blah, blah,' and I say, 'Yes, because I want to normalize that.' I want people to see my family and say, 'There's nothing wrong with that.' It's part of my mission", declared Martin. "And it's part of my children's mission too. My kids ask me about having two parents and I tell them we are a modern family. This is a beautiful sense of freedom", added the singer.
