A survey carried out by Out Now consultancy, specialized in the LGBT market, identified that Rio de Janeiro is the second city in the world most desired by gay tourists to visit in 2013.
Of the 200 possible points it could win in the evaluation, Rio got 194. It narrowly missed out on first place, which went to New York, with 198 points. In the same survey last year, Rio was in third.
Following this year are Sydney, London, San Francisco, Paris and Buenos Aires. São Paulo only appears in 15th place and Miami in 20th.
Among the most desired countries, France comes out on top, the United Kingdom is second and the USA is third. Argentina appears in 10th and Brazil is not on the list.
The results of the rankings are the result of a survey carried out by Out Now for 3 years with around 100 thousand people in 24 countries.
